The Translator Interpreter Lead will lead our team of amazing interpreters and work with dedicated staff passionate about providing the best education pathways for Deaf and Hard of Hearing ākonga. Our highly skilled in-house team provides interpretation and translation services for staff across Aotearoa New Zealand.

THE ROLE / TE MAHI

This is a permanent, full-time role based either in Auckland or Christchurch. We are looking for an enthusiastic leader for our Interpreter Team. This role sits in our Communications and Resources Team. You would be part of a wider group of middle leaders within Ko Taku Reo. This role requires excellent communication skills, expert multitasking, and knowledge to create effective processes including leading others. Ideally this role would be filled by an experienced Translator or NZSL Interpreter. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong people leadership and management capabilities, along with proven experience in team development and inclusive workplace practices. Ideal for someone who would thrive in an environment that actively supports Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) employees - we are proud to be the largest employer of DHH individuals.
