Job Title: Cook
Location: Red Beach Kebabs – Red Beach Auckland
Job Type: Full time (30 hours minimum per week, 45 hours maximum)
Wage: $27 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Turkish dishes, with a focus on kebabs and other grilled meats.

  • Ensure food quality and presentation meet our high standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.

  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

  • Assist in inventory management, ensuring ingredients are stocked and ready for service.

  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

  • Contribute to menu development and offer creative input on new dishes and ideas.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of previous Cook experience working in a fast-paced kitchen, preferably in a Turkish or Middle Eastern restaurant.

  • Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy hours.

  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

  • Passion for cooking and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
