Are you passionate about both animal care and supporting the next generation of veterinary professionals. Join Wintec’s Animal Technology team as an academic staff member where you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality and engaging teaching to our students. We offer programmes in animal care, rural animal health and veterinary nursing. This role will see you working collaboratively with colleagues to provide core theory and practical skills to our students.

This position is a full-time fixed term role covering for a staff member on parental leave.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $74,400 to $85,000, dependent on skills and experience. This role is based at our Rotokauri Campus reporting to the Team Manager (AnTech) and will be responsible for:

• Providing engaging and high-quality lessons to students.
• Developing resources and assessment.
• Marking assessments and moderation as required.
• Working closely with colleagues also teaching on the same programme(s).
• Liaising with colleagues in the industry to support work experience opportunities and encourage students’ innovation and creative thinking.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A minimum qualification of a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.
• Confidence in your own clinical skills and ability to teach and mentor students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for supporting and guiding learners.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
