Te Tūranga | About the Role
We’re focused on delivering value through strong supplier partnerships and innovative livestock programmes, and our Agribusiness Programme Planner operates at the center of this approach. This role plays a critical role in the planning and execution of our market-led livestock programmes and key account initiatives and requires a talented person to manage this work.
The purpose of this role and these programmes are to support the Livestock Supply Manager and National Key Account & Programme Manager to enhance supply chain performance, drive margin growth, and strengthen farmer loyalty. To be successful in this role, you’ll bring strategic insight and hands-on coordination to help integrate livestock programme planning into our broader operational and sustainability frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute Silver Fern Farms’ livestock programmes, including Market Led Programmes and Lamb Finishing initiatives.
- Support the delivery of the Livestock Key Account Plan, including the onboarding and growth of key accounts.
- Integrate planning activities with cross-functional teams to align with our Sales & Operations Planning processes.
- Maintain master data accuracy and ensure compliance with livestock supply chain standards.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and farmer partners to support performance and continuous improvement across programme delivery.
- Contribute to strategic planning, reporting, and sustainability goals within the Livestock division.
Ōu Pūkenga | About You:
We’re looking for someone with a strong commercial mindset and a background in agri-business, programme delivery or livestock supply chain. You’ll be comfortable working across a matrixed organisation and contributing to both operational detail and strategic delivery.
You will also bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Experience in a large agri-business or livestock-related environment.
- Proven ability to support change projects and new programme launches.
- Strong interpersonal skills – confident in presenting, influencing and building relationships with farmer partners and internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to data integrity and process improvement.
