To support our mission, we're seeking an Asset Maintenance Operator specifically for the Ohakune and Reitihi area's.
What does an Asset Maintenace Operator do you ask?
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the Ruapehu District Councils playgrounds, sports courts, BBQ's, bus shelters, waterways, and parks furniture throughout the district. Your duties will include, but not limited to, basic handyman functions, inspections and minor repairs, playground aeration, cleaning of public facilities, refurbishments, and asset validation of all park assets. At times you may be required to assist the wider District team.
What we are looking for:
- You will possess a broad range of handyman and cleaning skills and preferably have previous maintenance experience
- Ideally, you will have completed a Playground Inspection and Maintenance Course Level 2, however, this is not essential as we are willing to train the right person
- A current full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential
- A high level of attention to detail, have a strong work ethic and demonstrate a positive attitude towards working safely
- You will have excellent communication skills, be reliable, punctual, co-operative, and maintain positive working relationships
