Do you enjoy working in a vibrant kitchen environment and take pride in delivering great food with a smile? We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cafeteria Assistant to support our busy staff cafeteria! You’ll be assisting the Cafeteria Manager in maintaining a clean, well-organised kitchen and café space, while preparing and serving meals to our hardworking factory staff. This is a hands-on role where timing, cleanliness, and customer service all matter.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
Your key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and serve food to align with scheduled staff meal breaks
- Make fresh sandwiches each morning
- Maintain high food hygiene standards at all times
- Keep the café and kitchen areas clean and tidy
- Clean coffee machines and replenish supplies throughout the day
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly, labelled, and dated to meet food safety regulations
- Maintain clean and hygienic bench tops and staff fridge areas
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience preparing and cooking food in line with hygiene standards
- Previous experience in a café or similar hospitality setting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A proactive, team-focused attitude
- A down-to-earth personality with enthusiasm for food and service
