The Category and Activation Manager is responsible for driving category growth and brand activation strategies across the New Zealand market. This role ensures the successful execution of marketing initiatives, aligns category strategies with business objectives, and fosters strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.

Purpose of role:
The purpose of the role is to analyse and report on market activity and define key opportunities for growth as well as execute customer marketing strategies throughout the year. Keeping the pulse of the market to maximise upcoming opportunities to evolve and grow to meet consumer needs. This role will be responsible for all activities relating to shopper marketing, category analysis and brand event execution across the New Zealand market
Responsibilities include:
Category Management
Analyse market trends and competitor activity to review performance and identify opportunities.
Develop and implement category strategies through data insights, in collaboration with NZ and Australian teams, to drive growth and market share.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to optimise product placement, pricing strategies, product lifecycle plans and innovation launches.
Brand Activation
Execute brand activation campaigns with retailers to enhance brand visibility and engagement, in line with annual brand plans with retailers.
Manage retailer, healthcare practitioner and consumers events with our key health industry and retailer partners to support brand objectives.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activation initiatives, providing insights for improvement.
Performance Analysis:
Track and report on category and activation performance metrics.
Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to optimise future strategies.
Who are you?

A self-starter that is results focused for continuous improvement and market success.
Experience in category management or shopper marketing specifically with retailer media, preferably in the FMCG or health and wellness industry.
