The role of Change Analyst supports Digital project implementation by undertaking change analysis work such as:
- Undertaking change analysis through activities like completing an impact and readiness assessment
- Assisting the Change Lead in change management activities
- Supporting successful employee adoption of new ways of working, by applying best practice change management frameworks and tools to embed the change as 'business as usual' for our people
About you | Ko Koe Tēnei
This role works within our large and diverse Digital Unit and collaborates across the various Council business units. Ideally, our Change Analysts have:
- Previous change management experience, ideally in a large or complex organisation
- Specific experience with technology change
- Demonstrated experience in analysing information and communicating complex ideas simply to others
- Experience using tools like Excel to a high level of expertise
- Demonstrated experience in building relationships and relating to people across a multi-generational, culturally diverse workplace.
We're looking for someone who is excited by change and can communicate with people at all levels of our organisation - someone who meets the challenges of Change Management with a smile, can work well in a fluid environment (with the odd bit of chaos) and likes to get on top of problems and figure out solutions.

Location - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga, Christchurch City Council Civic Offices - 53 Hereford Street
Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $88,003 to $97,781 per annum based on a 40-hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
