Our National Infrastructure Unit supports the Government's infrastructure priorities. The NIU team leads advice to the Government on infrastructure policy and commercial advice, including the Government's guidance on Private Public Partnerships (PPPs). The NIU also leads the Treasury's fiscal advice on transport and communications. The NIU also leads the Treasury's fiscal and policy advice on transport and communications.


Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role

We are looking for a senior analyst to work in the NIU until the end of June 2026, leading the preparation of advice on the National Infrastructure Plan. The Plan will be prepared by the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission and the Treasury, as primary advisors to the Minister for Infrastructure, have a key role in supporting his consideration of the draft and shaping the Government response to the final Plan.

A key part of this role will be shaping the Treasury's view of the Plan as a central agency, and leading engagement across a range of government agencies to ensure a whole-of-government view of the draft Plan.
