ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Checkout Operator, your primary role is to scan, pack and accurately charge customers for products whilst providing the highest standards of excellent customer service. Some of other key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Serving customers appropriately as per company guidelines.
- Handling all monies correctly ensuring the till balances on a daily basis
- Packing all customers’ goods with care ensuring breakages and damage to perishable items is minimized
- Assisting in Lotto and cafe area (if appropriate) to cover for breaks
- Undertaking additional housekeeping as required
- Assisting in other areas of the store as required
- Achieve the minimum scan rates as required.
Here is what you NEED to be considered:
- Customer Service experience in retail or hospitality is a MUST!
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- A can-do attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
- Intermediate maths skills
- Right to work in New Zealand
