We are seeking an experienced people leader who is looking to take the next step in their career towards a supervisory role.
Our Log Checkpoint is a Monday to Friday operation that receives and measures logs at the port arriving via truck. All logs coming through the Checkpoint are measured or "scaled" using an international standard and each log is tracked on its journey. The Checkpoint Team Leader oversees a team of Checkpoint Processors who perform these duties.
The person we seek will be someone who enjoys responsibility and hands on leadership. You will be someone who likes motivating and getting the best out of others by fostering a good team culture and building positive morale.
The ideal candidate will have previous checkpoint operations experience (although not essential) and be keen to take on the responsibility of training staff to achieve an NZQA qualification in Log Scaling. Duties of this role will also include assisting with the delivery of an efficient and quality service to our customers.
