We’re on the lookout for some hard-working legends to join our chip seal crew across the Bay of Plenty and surrounding regions. Whether you’re a seasoned class 5 bitumen sprayer operator, chip truck driver, chip sealing operator, or a keen chip sealing labourer – if you’ve got grit, skill, and a solid work ethic, we want you on our crew.
What you’ll be doing (aside from becoming part of a great team):
- Safely operating a bitumen sprayer and class 5 truck, you will know your stuff behind the wheel.
- Operating and maintaining chip seal machinery; smooth roads do not just build themselves.
- Pitching in with the team to get the job done, safely and efficiently.
- Daily pre-start checks and following health and safety like a pro, safety first, always.
What we need from you:
- A clean, full class 5 license and the know how to drive our big trucks.
- Experience in chip sealing and road construction machinery; this is not your first rodeo.
- A keen eye for detail and pride in your work; cowboy hat optional.
- A good attitude, strong team spirit, and a willingness to muck in.
- A positive attitude and good understanding of health and safety, we want everyone to go home to their whānau safely.
The fine print (but worth the read):
You’ll need to be flexible, this role can mean 12-hour days, night shifts, and travel/stay-aways around the North Island. Weekly hours range from 40 to 70 depending on the workload, so be ready to earn those weekend yarns.
