About Us

The Consult Liaison and Emergency Department (ED) Psychiatry team is a dedicated group of Psychiatrists and Nurses who work with Tangata whai I te ora (those seeking wellness) admitted to the hospitals' ED and Assessment & Diagnostic Unit (ADU), and those in wards who are affected by mental health issues and concurrent physical health issues. At a local and national level, you will develop and influence policy.

You will be responsible for ongoing education to staff from other specialties to support ongoing improvement in practice, understanding and capability when caring for those with mental health and addiction needs.
