Job Description
You will be responsible for the efficient running of the operations in the conference area, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
- Delegating duties among staff so all aspects of the shift are covered, ensuring concise handover to the next shift
- Take all practicable steps to ensure a safe working environment, following all H&S policies and procedures
- Coordinate catering, banquet setups, and technical requirements with relevant hotel teams.
- Supervise setup, service, and breakdown of all banquet functions.
- Ensure function rooms are set to standard, with all necessary equipment and supplies in place.
- Maintain a guest-focused approach, personalizing service to ensure every guest feels valued and attended to.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing issues promptly and maintaining high service standards.
- Managing allergen controls to ensure safe practices are maintained.
- Manage and co-ordinate day to day operations with effective planning.
- Communicate with key departments within the hotel.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills shown to staff, suppliers and guests
- At least one year experience in a similar position
- At least one year experience in a supervisor position preferred
- A supportive, hands-on management style that shows effective leadership traits
- LCQ and Managers License is preferred
