Mō te tūnga | About the role
We are looking for a proactive and results orientated Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Analyst to join our ICT Service Management team who can drive process improvements and collaboration between teams.
You’ll work alongside the Incident and Problem Management team where you will have the opportunity to lead process improvement initiatives, simplify workflows and maintain ownership of the Knowledge Management (KM) Framework.
Your work will strengthen the knowledge across ICT operations and other parts of the business. This role plays a critical part in ensuring service stability for New Zealand Police’s critical infrastructure and services New Zealander’s rely on.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for the Knowledge Management (KM) Framework implemented across operations.
Lead the continuous improvement process by identifying opportunities and providing training needs using problem solving methodologies.
Review current practices and develop process improvements implementing within workflows, structures, and teams.
Prepare regular reports on service performance and user satisfaction.
Encourage a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaborative workflow throughout the ICT Service Centre.
Help capture new knowledge with the usage of a knowledge management system.
Monitor progress and KPI’s by keeping track of engagement, project outcomes and other metrics.

You will have relevant experience in the functions of Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Management.
Practical application of ITIL best practices in Change, Problem and Incident Management is desired.
You will have strong analytical and reporting skills with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
You have a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for optimizing operational processes with a continuous improvement mindset which identifies problems.

This role is set at Individual Contributor level , this means your key purpose is “to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business”.
You will need the following;
ITIL foundation certificate is highly desirable
Experience working in service operations environment, ideally in a large organisation.
Experience with the creation of dashboards for reporting and updating of Service Now knowledge base articles is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $87,306 and $91,353 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
