We are looking for an experienced cook for our busy Indian restaurant in Papakura.
Location: Papakura, Auckland
Job type: Full Time
Duration: Permanent
Pay: Minimum $25.00 and maximum $30.00
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed
Relevant Work Experience Required: Minimum one year
Willing to work on weekends (Working days will be between Monday and Sunday)
Job Description for Cook:
- Raw food preparation, seasoning, and cooking
- Ensuring the food quality of raw foodstuffs
- Must be able to cook all authentic Indian curries and tandoori dishes
- Plan food requirements for dressing and ensure great presentation
- Regulating temperature-controlled cooking equipment
- Storing food in chillers and fridges
- May train other staff in the kitchen
- Ensuring personal hygiene and maintaining high standards of health and safety
- To ensure the kitchen waste is kept to a minimum
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness
