The role
Our industry is a fast paced and challenging environment where your skills to problem solve, work in a timely manner and pay attention to detail will come in handy.
You will be responsible for the smooth and timely transportation of products, preparing customer delivery, collecting post/parcel, maintaining the warehouse and operational equipment including company vehicles, in a clean and tidy condition and maintaining relationships with Courier's diverse client base.
You need to be flexible and able to work on a roster basis, mainly 03 am to 6:30pm Monday to Saturday but also earlier or later shifts if required.
Required training will be provided for the right candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Deliveries – picking courier goods up from suppliers, delivering goods to customers
- Delivering Parcels to Business and Residential
- Ancillary duties, including loading and unloading of any goods
- Assist with client queries
- Complete all required delivery paperwork
- Meet delivery timeframes
- Carrying out minor maintenance tasks, if required
- Ensuring the vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition
- Attending to daily checking of the vehicle including oil, water, fuel, air pressure, safety concerns and equipment security, Road User Charge Licence, Hub odometer readings etc
- Reporting vehicle maintenance needs to Manager
- Follow Health and Safety standards
The ideal candidate must:
- Few months of work experience as courier driver/ freight/distribution environment will be an advantage
- Class 1 Drivers license must required
- Available to work outside your usual hours when required? (e.g. weekends, evenings, public holidays)
- Sound knowledge and able to drive manual gear shift
- A high degree of physical fitness and ability to lift up to 32 kilograms
- Have good communication skills and basic computer skills
- Couriers are an essential service during the COVID-19, so the applicant must be prepared to work during any lockdown levels. And be prepared to comply with the guidelines provided by Ministry of Health for safety to everyone.
- Undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as a pre-requisite to obtaining employment.
- Have a clear criminal record - Police Check for employment
- The ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines

Pay: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
