Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences in one of New Zealand's most stunning locations? Stewart Island Experience is looking for a friendly, proactive, and organised Customer Service Consultant to join our team in Oban.
As a key front-line team member, you'll be the welcoming face of Stewart Island Experience, ensuring our visitors receive outstanding service from check-in to departure. You'll also play a vital role in promoting and selling our tours, excursions, and retail offerings, while supporting operational duties at the Oban wharf and terminal.
As a Customer Service Consultant your role will include:
- Customer Service & Hosting: Greet and assist visitors warmly, anticipate their needs, and ensure public areas are clean and well-stocked.
- Sales: Promote and sell Stewart Island Experience products using effective selling techniques, handling transactions accurately.
- Fleet & Freight Management: Prepare rental fleet vehicles, manage freight documentation, and support safe loading/unloading of goods.
- Ferry Wharf Support: Assist with passenger check-in, luggage handling, and ferry operations including line handling and manifest preparation.
- Operations & Administration: Maintain equipment, liaise with operations staff, and ensure shift duties are completed and documented.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in customer service and sales
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude
- Drivers licence (P licence would be an advantage)
