He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We are excited to be hiring our next group of Customer Service Representative Contact Centre agents to enhance our team and ensure excellent customer experiences. You'll provide accurate information and assistance to both external and internal customers calling about Auckland Council services, helping keep our city looking beautiful.
No day is the same as you greet and help our customers with diverse phone queries. From parking infringements, waste queries, roaming dog notifications to property rates enquires and noise complaints, you'll handle a wide range of issues treating each and every customer with respect and empathy.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Responding promptly and accurately to phone inquiries from both internal and external customers, making sure the customer feels heard.
• Follow the clearly defined processes within our knowledgebase to handle inquiries efficiently, log service requests accurately, making it easy for the customer.
• Notify relevant departments about public space issues like flooded drains, fallen trees, and graffiti to create an Auckland we can all be proud of.
• Advocate for the customer to ensure a timely resolution to their query.
He kōrero mōu: About you
To be successful in this role, you will display the following:
• Strong analytical and technological skills, with the ability to learn quickly and use multiple systems efficiently, including Microsoft Office applications and a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a polite telephone manner.
• Demonstrates problem-solving ability, prioritization skills, and the capacity to interpret tasks effectively.
• At least 2 years of proven experience in customer service delivery.
• Resilient, punctual, and adaptable to a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.

We are a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week contact centre with full-time and part-time positions available! Check out the available shifts below and choose your preferred shifts based on what suits your schedule. (Please note: Shift start and end times may vary based on business needs, with 3 weeks' notice provided for any changes.)All successful recruits must be available for six (6) weeks of full-time training, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m on site at Civic Building, Manukau.
