Our Opportunity:
As a Data Analyst supporting Mercury's Customer business, you'll be working at the heart of our decision-making processes—developing data models, surfacing insights, and building analytics frameworks that power our sales teams, campaigns, and customer-focused initiatives.
This is a hands-on role, supporting our Customer Value Streams with robust reporting, insightful visualisations, and quality data pipelines. You'll play a key part in ensuring data integrity, continuously improving our data products, and building scalable tools to solve real business problems.
What you'll do:
- Deliver timely and valuable insights across sales performance, campaign analysis and customer opportunities
- Build and maintain reusable data models, reporting frameworks, and campaign tools
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Customer Value Streams to embed analytics into decision-making
- Champion data integrity and quality assurance for reporting and insights
- Support and enable analysts across the business through shared tools and processes
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend scalable analytics solutions
- Turn complex data into compelling narratives that inform and inspire action
We are looking for:
In this role, attitude is more important than aptitude. You'll be keen to roll up your sleeves and help deliver valuable insights across multiple tools. Along with;
- Experience in analytical roles, with a strong grasp of complex data environments
- A tertiary qualification in Analytics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics—or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, Oracle BI, and Databricks & Excel
- Solid understanding of data modelling, warehousing, and version control (e.g., Git)
- Proven ability to communicate insights with clear data storytelling and visualisation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong business acumen—you understand the drivers behind strategic decisions
- Utilities or Telecommunications experience is a bonus.
