We are currently seeking an experienced Demi Chef to join our kitchen brigade part time.
About the Role
As a Demi Chef, you will work across different sections of the kitchen, with a strong focus on the production kitchen. You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes in bulk, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency. From time to time, you may also support other areas of the kitchen, giving you variety and exposure to different service styles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Focus on high-volume food production, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and storage standards.
- Take responsibility for the care and cleanliness of equipment and your section.
- Support other kitchen sections when required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar high-volume kitchen.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A Level 4 or equivalent Cookery Certificate.
- Impeccable presentation and grooming standards.
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster across 7 days, covering both morning and evening shifts.
