We are looking for Casual Emergency Medical Assistants and Emergency Medical Technicians to join us on an as and when required basis to service Waikato, Hauraki and Coromandel areas.
We are looking for individuals who are adaptable and can settle into our team with ease, work alongside both paid and volunteer staff and provide a high level of care to our patients. The ideal applicants would have a positive demeanour, willingness to contribute to station portfolios, and champion clinical excellence.
Assessment centres may be held on the below dates:
- Thursday 26 June - 0900-1100 at Te Kauwhata Ambulance Station, 4 Baird Avenue
- Wednesday 2 July - 0900-1100 at Te Kauwhata Ambulance Station, 4 Baird Avenue
Qualifications
Ko wai koe - About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current St John Authority to Practice at First Responder or EMT
- Excellent operational and clinical performance to date
- Excellent driving record
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- A genuine commitment to the well-being of others
- The ability to work under pressure
- Evidence of CCE
- New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or work visa
- Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
- Please ensure you are able to commit to the travel requirements of completing casual shifts in these areas if you do not live locally. Travel distance will be taken into consideration.
