He hiahia, he pūkenga nōu ki te mahi a te Enrolment and Fees Advisor. Nāia te pōwhiri nā Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha kia tono mai i te tūranga nei.

Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Are you passionate about supporting students on their academic journey? The role of Enrolments and Fees Advisor offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact, from the moment students apply, right through to graduation.

We're looking for someone to join our small, fast-paced team that handles the essential 'nuts and bolts' of enrolment. By managing the behind-the-scenes details, we enable students to focus on what really matters: their studies and success at university.

In this front-facing, on-campus role, you'll be a key point of contact for both domestic and international students. You'll provide clear, accurate enrolment advice, maintain student records, calculate and administer fees, and ensure everything aligns with university policies and external agency requirements.

A strong understanding of student visa regulations and experience supporting international students through visa-related enrolment processes—would be a real asset in this role. It helps ensure compliance and contributes to a smooth, supportive experience for our international student community.

This is a hands-on position involving day-to-day administration of enrolments, changes to enrolment, and fee calculations. Your work will directly shape the student experience and help keep UC's enrolment services running smoothly.

Mōu | Who You Are
You are a detail-driven and adaptable professional who thrives in a busy, student-facing environment. In this on-campus role, you'll support students throughout their academic journey—helping them enrol, make changes to their study, and manage their student records and financial accounts with accuracy and care. You enjoy working with students and take pride in providing clear, empathetic support that helps them feel supported, confident, and informed. Fast and accurate fee calculations are a critical part of this role, ensuring student accounts are correct and UC's records remain compliant. You bring strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a calm, solutions-focused approach to every interaction. You're confident interpreting complex regulations and policies, and you enjoy working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, student-centred service.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience within a tertiary education environment or a comparable large organisation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with a strong track record in accurately calculating and managing student/customer fees and accounts
  • Ability to quickly learn, interpret, and apply organisational and external regulations, policies, and procedures
  • A genuine commitment to delivering practical, student/customer-focused service that is clear, timely, and effective—guided by respect for individual needs and experiences

Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
As part of the Enrolments team you will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with students (prospective and current), the wider Te Ratonga Ākonga | Student Operations team, and the wider Te Pātaka | Student Services Hub whānau. You will also develop effective working relationships with staff in Faculties, Schools, and Central Service Units, particularly those providing administrative services and student support.

Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini - Success is not the work of an individual, but the work of many.
