About Us:
White Cross is a welcoming network of 11 urgent care and general practice clinics in Auckland, Palmerston North, Whangarei, and Christchurch. Together with our sister Local Doctor practices, we form the largest independently owned primary healthcare group in New Zealand. We're here to serve!
Our Auckland clinics, open 7 days a week from 8:00am to 8:00pm, offering urgent care services as well as family GP services for enrolled patients Monday to Friday. The team treats a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses, with on-site x-ray, dental, and physiotherapy services available. We also have two 24/7 clinics in Auckland (Henderson & Ascot Hospital) . The clinics are ACC-accredited, easily accessible by public transport, has parking available, and a diverse, multilingual team ready to help.

Your Role:
We offer full time or part time on a casual or permanent basis to join our friendly and dynamic team. We have shift opportunities for day, evening, or weekend shifts.
Provide initial and follow-up care for patients presenting with undifferentiated symptoms or acute medical issues
Use Standing Orders to initiate treatment (including medication administration)
Order laboratory tests and x-rays under doctor's supervision
Perform suturing and wound care management
Supporting clinical processes in the General Practice such as inbox management, including follow up of test results, referral letters and filing documentation that does not require further action, in collaboration with other health practitioners
Requirements:
Current registration and an Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council
A Bachelor of Health Science in Paramedicine.
A postgraduate diploma in Health Science (Paramedicine), or be actively pursuing one, OR completion of a course in Community and Remote Area Paramedicine
At least two years of frontline paramedicine experience
Awareness of ACC and PHC.
Familiarity with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) preferred.
Commitment to health equity and cultural competency, with an understanding of Tikanga Māori, Kawa Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
