About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Extrusion Operator to set up, operate and maintain extrusion machinery producing high-quality aluminium products. You’ll work in a safety-focused, team environment where attention to detail is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Operation: Prepare and run extrusion machines to meet production specifications, monitor performance, and make adjustments as required.
- Quality Control & Troubleshooting: Inspect products, correct defects, and resolve minor machine issues to maintain high quality standards.
- Maintenance & Safety: Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance, report equipment issues promptly, and always follow safety procedures.
- Material Handling: Load and monitor raw materials, store them correctly, and maintain stock levels.
- Continuous Improvement: Support process improvements, share feedback, and participate in training to boost team efficiency.
- Record Keeping: Accurately log production data, including machine settings and output.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of extrusion or other machine operation
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Forklift licence preferred
- Ability to read and follow production specifications and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, consistent attendance and a strong work ethic
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 25 kg
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic workplace
