Job Description
We have multiple exciting opportunities to join our Christmas team to support us during the festive season.
What an exciting time to be joining the business, the magic of Christmas is truly celebrated here! There are few places where you'll find the joy of the season bubbling over to enchant both young and old. The wonderous experience of Christmas is found at Ballantynes … a store like no other.
We are looking for positive, adaptable, and reliable people to be part of our Christmas team, working across different facets of our busy department store.
You will gain valuable skills that will allow you to work across different areas of the business. Starting in the warehouse, you will unpack stock, price goods and organise products into departments. A keen eye for detail, good organisational skills and an efficient work style are key.
You will also have opportunities to be customer-facing, supporting the retail team. Here, you will bring the magic of Christmas to life, helping customers find the perfect gift. As we near Christmas time, our Gift Wrap service is where you will hone your skills to beautifully wrap Christmas parcels for our customers.
Suitable candidates for these roles will be highly adaptable and thrive under pressure. Customer service or retail experience is ideal. With the Christmas season getting closer, you will be working in a very busy environment. You will be enthusiastic with a great teamwork ethic and happy to help others when required.

These roles will be commencing September 8th, 2025, and cease 24th December 2025.
