FIXED TERM ROLES – PART TIME
Mitre 10 MEGA Invercargill is a locally owned and operated company with a vision to provide outstanding customer service and great value products to our customers. Our store is a popular destination for our customers during spring & summer, and we are looking for additional team members to help us provide exceptional customer service and keep our store looking good.
We have the following fixed term, part time positions available in our Garden Department.
Role 1: Fixed Term role starting early September 2025 running to Easter 2026
- 32 hours per week, working 4 days per week, this will include at least one day of the weekend.
Role 2: Fixed Term role starting early October 2025 running to Easter 2026
- 18 hours per week, working Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6 hours per day.
We are seeking applicants with a passion and knowledge in gardening to assist our customers in all areas of the garden department, this will include unloading inbound plant trolleys ready for our customers and providing excellent customer service.
For these positions we are looking for candidates who have:
- A passion for customer service;
- Enthusiasm and team spirit;
- Willingness to learn & strive for excellence;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Physically fit as there will be a significant amount of lifting & manual handling, walking, standing & bending.
- Candidates will be confident working in a busy working retail warehouse based environment, which includes (but is not limited to) ladder use, pallet jack use, moving trolleys
- Ideally candidates would have a passion and knowledge of gardening.
