The role
The Ando Marine Specialist Trading team is motivated and commercially astute. Based in our Auckland office this role will challenge you, leading our New Zealand Marine proposition, exposing you to our international Lloyds based capacity providers and our key broking partners.
Over the last 5 years the portfolio has achieved strong growth whilst delivering profitable underwriting results. Ando Marine is well known and respected in the market for working through even the most challenging opportunities that are presented ensuring that clients know they can rely on Ando Marine when they need us most.

Key considerations that will support you in making this opportunity yours:
- Minimum 10 years Marine Insurance Underwriting experience
- Strong Leadership skills and the ability to drive a great team culture
- Strategic thinker and drive to grow market share
- Ability to manage and develop local and international relationships
- Marine portfolio management expertise
- Innovative and creative approach with a strong desire to develop solutions
- Building business brand by living values, collaborating with partners, and leading by example in an Ando way.
