Key Requirement:
Relevant qualification with five years of experience required
- Manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse facility, including refrigeration units, loading docks, and storage areas
- Ensure optimal functioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Schedule and supervise preventative maintenance and repairs
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards relevant to perishable goods
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain hazard registers
- Coordinate with external service providers for facility-related services (e.g., HVAC, pest control, electrical)
- Negotiate service contracts and monitor performance
- Collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to ensure facility layout supports efficient stock movement and cold chain integrity
- Support implementation of stock rotation and waste minimisation strategies
- Maintain emergency response plans and evacuation procedures
- Prepare facility-related reports and contribute to budgeting and planning
