Job Description
This exciting dual-role position combines classroom music teaching with leadership of our vibrant primary performing arts programme.
In this role, you will be:
- Delivering engaging, developmentally-appropriate music education to students in Years 0–6
- Coordinating performing arts events, productions and music opportunities
- Embedding the PYP philosophy into your teaching practice, fostering inquiry, creativity, and collaboration
- Working closely with the leadership and specialist teams to enhance the performing arts curriculum
- Supporting individual student growth in music and the arts, including choirs, instrumental groups, and co-curricular activities
Desired Skills and Experience
- A recognised teaching qualification and current New Zealand teaching registration
- Expertise in primary school music education
- Ability to lead choirs and/or experience coordinating these
- Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to lead and inspire others
- A collaborative, future-focused mindset and a commitment to holistic education
