About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Teacher to lead the Preschool room in our client’s centre based in Central Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher to step into a leadership role within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to teaching staff in the Preschool room.
- Create and maintain a warm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Develop, plan, and deliver high-quality learning programmes aligned with Te Whāriki.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community.
- Mentor and support teachers with their professional growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with ECE regulations, policies, and centre standards.
- Work collaboratively with the Centre Manager and leadership team.
About You
- Hold a NZ ECE teaching qualification (Level 7 or higher) and full/provisional NZ Teacher Registration.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within an ECE setting.
- Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki and child-led learning approaches.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, supportive, and professional approach to teamwork.
- Must hold valid work rights in New Zealand.
