The Chief Executive Office, People and Culture group is responsible for ensuring the cultural capabilities - sought through Te Korowai o Kaitiakitanga - are built and embedded throughout the organisation. This Group contributes to the strategic leadership of Maritime NZ through supporting the design, delivery and embedding of the organisation's strategy Te Korowai o Kaitiakitanga and ensures change is well planned and delivered.

Te tunga | The role

The Kaihautu M ori is an influential Senior Leadership role reporting to the DCE Chief Executive Office, People and Culture. The focus for role in the past three years has been the on development of T M tou Rautaki M ori our Te Ao M ori strategy and capability framework which has been endorsed by both our Board and Executive leadership team.

T M tou Rautaki M ori outlines four strategic pillars that support te hokaka (the aspirations): Leadership and Culture, Empowered Organisation, Partnerships and Engagement. We are now looking for an exceptional leader and change champion who has the enthusiasm and drive to deliver T M tou Rautaki M ori through planned initiatives across our organisation.

You will work in partnership with the Manager Culture and Capability and wider team who will support the planning and delivery of T M tou Rautaki M ori. It's a hands on dynamic role with an interesting mix of the strategic and operational delivery. You will have passion and drive for lifting capability and nurturing a positive and inclusive organisational culture with a desire to be involved in the exciting initiatives as they are implemented.

You will become a trusted Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive and Executive Team ensuring that internal capability is built to enable Te Ao M ori strategic outcomes and ensure M ori views are reflected in our everyday work. By building and lifting our internal capability will ensure our staff are confident and coordinated in our ongoing engagement and partnerships with M ori.
