Our Christchurch laboratory is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Laboratory Technician to join the Specimen Reception.
Reporting to the Section Leader you will embrace a culture of continuous improvement and solutions focused mindset, to ensure a high level of quality and service. The first point of contact for samples arriving at the lab and a customer service superstar for our clients. You will work collaboratively as part of the team to receive and dispatch consumable orders to our South Island clients and be the friendly face while collecting samples from our local clients. Must be friendly, approachable and have great customer service skills.

A New Zealand Restricted or Full Driver’s license
- Sample Processing: Accurately process laboratory samples for diagnostic testing, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and quality standards.
- Consumables Management: Manage the receipt, packing, and dispatch of consumables to support diagnostic and analytical testing across departments.
- Sample Referrals: Coordinate the referral of samples to both internal and external laboratories, maintaining appropriate documentation and tracking.

Laboratory and Client Support: Provide timely and effective support to laboratory teams and external clients, contributing to smooth operational workflow and high-quality service delivery.
