Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
As our Lead Advisor, System Design you will join our Leadership team providing planning and operational support to the National Manager System Design to facilitate the achievement of organisational and management objectives.
This is an integral role which supports effective delivery of outcomes and programmes, collaborating across NZTA and external stakeholders to embed and drive effective System Design across the motu.
You will have the opportunity to utilise your thought leadership and practical expertise to provide guidance and strategic advice collaborating with the Senior Leadership team to further propel and install best practice system design and planning across NZTA.

We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 commensurate to skills and experience.

As an experienced Lead, you will bring a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships across NZTA, all levels of government, key partners, and the private sector. In addition, you will be:
Politically savvy, with a passion for working collectively to enable change formed by working in a government agency
A very strong writer with experience writing for multiple audiences, including for Ministers and Board
Previous experience as a Lead or Senior Advisor supporting a senior leadership team
A strategic thinker with a strong risk radar
Proven experience in managing competing priorities and organising work in a complex demanding environment, including the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
A strong communicator who can communicate complex information to a broad range of audiences
Possess a genuine interest to build on or develop an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.
