We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics and Inventory Coordinator to support our Customer Service and Operations teams. This key role ensures the efficient movement of inwards and outwards goods, accurate inventory management, timely order processing, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will coordinate logistics workflows, maintain strong communication with internal teams and external partners, and serve as a backup to the Customer Service Manager to ensure seamless continuity of service and supply chain support.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 2 required.
Experience
Experience in manufacturing or logistics environments preferred.
Familiarity with MPI, cGMP, and Health & Safety regulations desirable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate daily logistics operations to meet productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Oversee workflow between logistics and production to minimize downtime and meet schedules.
- Inspect incoming goods for quality and ensure corrective actions are implemented when needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable MPI, cGMP, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Collaborate with teams to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Generate inventory and logistics reports; troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support container booking, loading/unloading, and sea freight documentation as needed.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks, including in confined cold storage areas.
- Oversee inventory accuracy within the warehouse and ensure all movements are properly recorded in the Infor ERP inventory management system
- Serve as a backup to the Customer Service Manager during absences to maintain continuity of service
- Prepare accurate MPI documentation for domestic and international shipments.
- Independently generate, process, and fulfil customer sales orders in a timely manner.

SKILLS:
- Experience coordinating logistics workflows and adjusting schedules to meet targets

This job requires the mental capabilities to organize and maintain a systematic and organized warehouse area. Furthermore, the ability to solve problems as they arise and possessing excellent communication skills for managing personnel are required.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND EXPOSURES:
The working conditions vary, a portion of the job duties occur within a general office environment while other job duties occur within a warehouse and coldstore environment. Exposures include, but are not limited to chemicals, caustics, temperatures ranging from freezing to extreme heat, noise, dust, and moving equipment/machinery.
