About the role

Part of the Asset Management Team, this newly created role is responsible for ensuring Genesis' LPG depot and delivery agent depots remain compliant with relevant regulations and in achieving operational KPIs through effective asset management and operational practices - safely, reliably and cost effectively.

In this interesting and hands-on role, part of your responsibility is:

  • Ensuring all our delivery depots and customers sites within the area of responsibility comply with their respective Location Compliance Certificate (LCC) conditions.
  • Support various asset management programs including projects ranging from small improvement works to supporting internal LPG engineers in technical projects.
  • Assist Genesis Energy operations and sales staff with technical information related to assets as needed.
  • Assess and manage hazards and risks to customer and public safety, ensuring effective control measures are in place and is reviewed regularly.
  • Oversee maintenance outages and improvement projects, reviewing of job safety assessments (JSA) and issuing relevant permit-to-work documents.
  • Provide regular reporting on progress and issues across projects and in both corrective and planned maintenance works.
  • Maintain and update systems, processes, and asset records, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
  • Perform other related duties and fulfil responsibilities as required.

We have a permanent, full-time position available that will be based in our Dunedin LPG depot. Due to the nature of the role, travel to sites within your region will be required.


About you

  • You are able to undertake on-site field asset surveys and compliance assessments.
  • An understanding of and experience in asset management and process safety.
  • 2-4 years' experience in an industrial environment preferably in the LPG industry
  • A technical background including project management and asset maintenance would be advantageous.
  • PTW system exposure and certification is preferred but not mandatory.
