Due to an internal promotion, we're looking for a Manager - Divisional Risk to join our oneRisk division.
This role is responsible for acting as a trusted advisor and partner, supporting the execution of risk, management, compliance and project execution accountabilities through provision of day to day advice and guidance on operational risk and compliance matters for the Customer, Product and Services division.

What is the team culture and environment like?
The team vision is to deliver world class operational risk & compliance advice, provide governance leadership, ensure operational practices result in great customer outcomes and develop great colleague relationships across the Bank to enable the successful delivery of projects. The Management Assurance team is an experienced, supportive group and the team are always willing to assist and coach other team members.
What is your favourite thing about working for BNZ?
BNZ is focused on delivering great kiritaki (customer) outcomes and supporting staff to 'own it' and do the right thing. This is a fast-paced role with lots of challenges and the opportunity to drive change / improvements across business units and the broader BNZ network.
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
We are looking for someone with ideally 4 to 6 years of experience with practical exposure to the full range of the operational risk toolkit, including managing the risk framework, compliance, analysis and reporting and a passion for improving risk management in the financial services sector.
Alongside your broad knowledge of risk management and compliance frameworks, principles and methodologies, you'll be a creative thinker with proven success in resolving problems. You'll have the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of BNZ audiences, including experience in facilitation and up-skilling stakeholders across the business.
What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
This role provides the opportunity for an experienced risk management professional to get exposure to the end-to-end product lifecycle of the BNZ products, be an important enabler in change transformation and get across different systems/operating processes/functional teams.
What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?
In additional to daily operational risk support activities, there will be great opportunities to work on key strategic change projects in the business covering end-to-end product lifecycle of the BNZ products, with goals to improve compliance by design and customer experience.
