We are seeking a Mechanical + Hydraulic Design Engineer to join our dynamic and experienced team based in Wellington. The successful candidate will develop and expand on existing technical knowledge and experience to successfully assist in the design and documentation of mechanical + hydraulic engineering systems, contract observation and liaising with Clients, Architects and other Engineers to deliver successful engineering outcomes on projects.

To suceed in this role, ideally you have:

  • 3+ years industry experience and are a team player and self-starter
  • An understanding of engineering safety design principles and related NZ Regulations
  • Effective communication skills including technical report writing and verbal communication. Comfortable attending meetings and talking confidently within limits of knowledge and experience
  • Effectively use HVAC design, Microsoft Office Suite applications, and cloud-based document management systems
  • A mechanical engineering tertiary degree with experience in mechanical + hydraulic engineering
