Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua | MidCentral has a temporary, 0.8FTE vacancy for a Registered Midwife at Kōhungahunga Maternity Unit – a 4 bedded, primary birthing facility located within Horowhenua Health Centre in Levin, approximately 50 km south of Palmerston North. The unit is sole charge, midwifery led and dedicated to labour and postnatal stays. Whilst working in partnership with their LMC, our Midwives provide postnatal care for women of our communities, plus provide intrapartum support to LMCs. We aspire to having a workforce reflective of the community we serve achieving equitable outcomes for all.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Midwife with a current APC willing to work rostered rotating duties over 24 hours a day/7 days per week. Our facility is BFHI accredited, and our Midwives are passionate about supporting women navigate their matrescence.
