About the Team/Service/ Location
The Nurse Educator Mental Health & Addictions and Acute Emergency Services is a key member of the MH&A, ED, and Workforce Development teams. Your role would see you planning, delivering, and evaluating workforce development activities specific (but not limited to) the mental health service setting.
As a Nurse Educator you will educate and coach staff to their best potential resulting in improved experiences for our health consumers. You will primarily work alongside the MH&A and ED teams, in a clinical coach/mentoring capacity, leading and embedding evidence-based practice, developing education strategies, involving staff in identifying areas for development, and developing objectives and plans in order to help staff apply learnings to practice.
A large component of this role will be ensuring that clinical quality systems are in place within and across our nursing services to enhance care delivery.
About you
You will bring with you your clinical expertise, commitment to cultural competency, and passion for assisting others to grow through learning and professional development. You will be an experienced, resilient and adaptable senior registered nurse with a current practicing certificate and extensive MH&A nursing experience. You will have excellent communication and engagement skills, and you will have demonstrated your ability to teach adults in both formal and informal setting.
You will have a current Expert portfolio (or working towards) and a Certificate in Adult Teaching Level 4, as well as Masters of Nursing level post graduate education, or working towards (essential).
