Position Title: Nurseryperson
Salary Range: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Minimum Guaranteed Hours of Work: 30–40 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nurseryperson to support our plant propagation, cultivation, and maintenance processes, ensuring we meet our production and quality goals.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in nursery production, plant care, or horticulture; or
- A relevant Level 4 qualification or higher (e.g., NZQF Certificate/Diploma in Horticulture or Nursery Production).
- Strong knowledge of plant propagation techniques, irrigation systems, and pest/disease control.
- Ability to operate and maintain nursery equipment and tools.
- Good planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety standards in a horticultural setting.
- Physical fitness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Current driver’s licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propagate plants from seeds, cuttings, and grafts in accordance with horticultural best practice.
- Monitor plant growth and health, implementing pest, disease, and weed control measures as needed.
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules.
- Keep nursery facilities, tools, and equipment clean and in good working condition.
- Record plant growth, treatments applied, and yield data.
- Prepare, label, and package plants for delivery or sale.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Assist in other nursery and horticultural tasks as required.
