As part of our ongoing expansion and commitment to excellence we are seeking dedicated Orchard Farm Workers to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and care of our orchards.
About the role - Orchard Farm Workers
As part of this role, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards (but not limited to):
1) Operating farm machines and driving the tractors to perform routine daily maintenance and cleaning tasks on the orchard.
2) Repairing sprinkler systems and broken pipe fittings using hand tools.
3) Repairing canopies and posts using hand tools and power tools.
4) Cleaning, maintaining and repairing buildings, yards and fences.
5) Building trellises for climbing vegetables and vines.
6) Assisting with irrigating the land for crop growth.
Qualification Experience and Attributes Required
Ø No qualification or prior experience is required.
Ø High standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
Ø Ability to work in a high-paced and vast volume environment.
Ø Punctual organised and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail.
Ø Ability to work in a team environment.
Ø Practical skills for maintenance and repair tasks.
Ø Driving skills for tractors or farm utility vehicles
Ø Ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions.
Pay & Benefits
Ø Full time permanent employment.
Ø Minimum of 30 hours/week guaranteed.
Ø The hourly rate range is between NZD $24 to $28/hour.
