As our new Organisational Development Partner, you'll play a key role in delivering strategic and operational initiatives that support the Ministry's people and culture goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your experience across a wide range of organisational development projects—from talent and succession planning to performance and development frameworks, staff engagement, and leadership events.

You'll bring your advisory skills, project delivery experience, and data-savvy mindset to help us build a high-performing, inclusive, and future-ready organisation. You'll also develop tools, processes, and insights that enable our people leaders to grow capability and deliver on the Ministry's strategic intent.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll collaborate across the Ministry and contribute to meaningful change that impacts all New Zealanders.


Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in organisational development, capability building, or HR advisory roles.
  • Strong project delivery skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using data to generate insights and produce high-quality reporting.
  • Proven relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to culturally affirming practices.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The salary band for this role is $84,562 - $116,273 with the appointing salary for this role likely to be between $84,562 and $108,862, based on skills and experience.
