Packer plus Office

We are a small family business that imports organic dried herbs and distributes them around New Zealand.

The work involves packing, quality checks, office work and cleaning.

Hours of work approx. 8-16 hours per week. Possibly more over Spring and Summer

Tasks may include –

Weighing out and packing herbs into smaller bags, checking quality

Collecting and returning bulk product to shelves – some heavy lifting involved

Recording details of packing

Office work involves invoicing, generating courier tickets, orders, emails

Cleaning as required

Compiling orders

Starting in Spring there is potential for more hours assisting with growing and harvesting herbs for drying

Requirements for the job -

Fit healthy and strong. You will be on your feet and on the move. Some heavy lifting and moving required.

Careful and accurate – correct product, correct weight, correct labels.

An eye for detail – checking quality of product while packing.

Tidy – legible hand writing and work areas kept tidy.

Able to work by yourself and work with others.

Good communication skills with other staff and customers

Flexibility to adjust to a variety of tasks

Confident computer skills

Motivated, positive and hard working

Own transport may be needed to get to work
