The Partner - Corporate Strategy & Partnerships is a key role working in close collaboration with the Head of Corporate Strategy and Partnerships to advise the CEO of Westpac New Zealand and the executive leadership team on driving, assessing, and prioritising the long-term strategic direction and growth for the company across its portfolio.
In this influential position, you will be at the forefront of driving growth through identifying, assessing and recommending opportunities for expansion through the development of partnerships both internally and externally. Your expertise will be essential in providing strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leaders on key business decisions, including Partnerships and equity investments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives, all while monitoring and assessing their progress, identifying potential risks and recommending adjustments as needed.
The role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional decision-making abilities, deep expertise in financial services and a proven history of successfully evaluating and implementing successful strategic recommendations and new business development and partnering opportunities. Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
7 - 10 years financial services experience at a top-tier consulting firm and/or internal strategy department for a high growth organisation
Banking, financial services and FinTech industry experience
Proven ability to engage senior executives, business owners/founders and Board Members in strategic discussion with credibility and influence
Presentation skills to Board level quality and proven Executive level stakeholder management experience
Proven leadership and design capability with complex strategies through a disciplined strategy formulation process
Deep and comprehensive understanding and application of proven strategic methodologies
Extensive commercial and strategic acumen
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
