People & Culture Advisor

MediaWorks Holdings
Auckland, Auckland
Full time

Are you a people person at heart, passionate about creating a workplace where people feel supported, empowered, and excited to come to work?

We're on the hunt for an experienced and enthusiastic People & Culture Advisor to join the MediaWorks team. If you're an excellent communicator, adept problem-solver, and well-versed in HR best practices, we would love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

At MediaWorks, no two days are the same. With market-leading radio, outdoor, and digital brands — and a workplace culture built on our values of Love Your Tribe, We Don't Do Boring, and Bring Your Best Self — this is a place where work is fun, rewarding, and meaningful.

We believe in making every day great for our people, our customers, and our audiences. And yes — we have Fluffy Fridays where dogs are part of the team too.

As our People & Culture Advisor, you'll play a key role in fostering a positive, productive, and supportive environment across our business. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture Manage, you'll provide trusted advice to managers and employees, support people initiatives, and help shape the way we work and grow together.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist in employee relations matters, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work atmosphere.
  • Stay up-to-date with employment legislation, ensuring compliance in all HR activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives, programs, and policies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.

About You:

You're a collaborative, solutions-focused professional who can juggle priorities and bring a calm, considered approach to tricky situations. You genuinely care about people and are committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.

  • HR Degree qualified, or working towards an HR qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of NZ employment legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities
  • A high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Confidence using Google Suite and HRIS platforms

On Offer

  • Supportive manager who will give you the tools and knowledge you need to thrive
  • Ongoing career development opportunities and mentoring program
  • Represent market leading brands within the media industry
  • Passionate, experienced & expert team who together will influence positive change
  • And yes — Fluffy Fridays, in-house radio stations, and vibrant, open-plan offices in central Auckland
