Job Description
Kia ora!
We’re looking for a confident and highly organised Personal Assistant to support two senior leaders in Air New Zealand’s Cargo team – our Tribe Lead (Cargo) and Head of Cargo Operations.
This is a 12-month fixed term role covering parental leave, with time split between our Auckland Airport and Fanshawe Street offices. You'll spend at least three days a week at the Airport, with the option to work from home one day a week.
About the role
A fast moving, varied workload: you’ll manage diaries, inboxes, travel, meetings and logistics for two senior leaders who work across a large operational footprint. Things move quickly in Cargo, so we need someone who can stay ahead of the curve and keep everything on track.
Team support and coordination: you’ll work closely with people across the Cargo business and wider organisation, making sure the right people are in the right conversations at the right time. You’ll prep meeting materials, chase actions, and keep the wheels turning.
Clear, confident communication: inbox wrangling, message prioritising, following up and stepping in where needed – you’ll be across it all. You’ll be a trusted go to for internal and external contacts, helping your leaders stay connected and on top of what matters.
Helping leaders lead well: we’re after someone who’s comfortable managing up, knows when to ask the right questions and isn’t afraid to pick up the phone to move things along.
What will you bring?
- Proven experience as a Personal Assistant, ideally supporting senior leaders
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with a variety of stakeholders
- A proactive, calm and solutions focused mindset
- Confidence with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Teams
- Experience in logistics or operational environments is a bonus, but not a must
We’re reviewing applications as they come in. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, apply now and help keep Cargo moving.
Applications close 11:59pm Monday 7 July.
