Plasterer – H C Contracting Limited
Location: Canterbury Region
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (minimum 30 hours/week)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (occasional Saturdays)
H C Contracting Limited is seeking skilled and motivated Plasterers to join our team for ongoing residential and commercial projects across the Canterbury region. We are committed to delivering high-quality finishing work and seek candidates with proven experience or relevant qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Applying coats of plaster to interior walls, ceilings, and partitions of buildings
Spreading, levelling, and smoothing plaster using trowels, brushes, and spraying equipment
Applying decorative and protective coverings of plaster, cement, and similar materials to the interiors and exteriors of structures
Fixing precast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres, and other plaster fittings
Creating decorative textures and effects using various plastering techniques
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Ensuring surfaces are well-prepared and finished to the required standard
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience or
A New Zealand Register Level 4 or higher qualification in a relevant field
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good understanding of health and safety practices on-site
