About the Role
As the Principal Advisor, you'll play a key role in enabling the national management and delivery of Te Whatu Ora's multi-billion dollar infrastructure portfolio. You'll lead the development and improvement of systems for capturing, managing, and reporting on health infrastructure investments, ensuring data drives informed decision making across the organisation.
You'll have oversight of the Infrastructure Investment plan database for Health NZ, including supporting the prioritisation of infrastructure investments, revisions of the plan, modelling of outcomes, and developing options for funding and delivery of individual investments, and undertaking early stage investment planning.
Working closely with regional teams and functions such as Finance, Project Delivery, Asset Management, Planning, Funding and Outcomes, and Data & Digital to ensure seamless coordination and integration.

The IIG team are focused on delivering high-impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system. Giving support, oversight and assurance across projects and programmes, they understand that safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders.
About you
You are a strategic and analytical thinker who thrives in complex environments. With a strong background in capital intensive investment, data analytics and infrastructure planning, you understand how to translate data into meaningful insights that support long-term investment decisions. You're comfortable working across multiple teams and systems, and you bring a collaborative mindset to everything you do.

You will bring:
- Tertiary level qualification in a relevant area and/or appropriate experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Advanced in data analytics and management
- Microsoft Bi Skills and in-depth experience with different data management tools and the development of their application
- Experience in complex long term financial modelling at a National Level within Health Infrastructure.
