About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
Several Psychology Advisor roles are available sitting within the main Psychology Advisor group providing advice across all other frontline teams.
You'll work with the Clinical Advice Managers for the Psychology Advisor team, along with other advisors and specialists in Recovery Support to grow frontline capability and improve outcomes. You'll participate in quality assessment and audit activities and embrace opportunities to work in different and more effective ways.
You'll be part of Clinical Services, contributing to our strategic direction and supporting the Manager Clinical Services in achieving our goals.
We provide a $10,000 CPD allowance, prorated to your FTE, for professional development and clinical supervision.
Flexible Working Options after the initial onboarding period making it easier to balance work and family life.
This is a part-time role that can be based in Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, or Wellington.
Part time (0.5 FTE-0.8FTE).
About you | Mōu

- Relevant clinical psychology qualification.
- At least 5 years clinical experience.
- Current Annual Practising Certificate and professional medical indemnity insurance.
- Embodies the ACC behaviours- Accountable, Curious, Inclusive, Customer-focused.
- Adaptable and open to testing innovative ways of working (including in office days; side by side; drop ins, interdisciplinary work etc).
- Excellent verbal and written communicator and collaborator.
- Proactive, approachable and pragmatic.
- Experience in complex rehabilitation.
- An understanding of clinical best practice, and medicolegal principals.
- Ability to coach and support learning of frontline staff.
- Open to new ways of measuring value and effectiveness.
- Cultural awareness.
- Dedicated to contributing to a positive trusting culture.
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- High level of competence in using a wide range of digital platforms, particularly Microsoft 365.
- This role requires you to be eligible to work in NZ
Desirable:
- Familiar with ACC systems and processes.
- Proven successful experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team within operational environments.
- Proven successful experience in managing self through change and uncertainty.
- Proven successful experience in working as part of a virtual team.
- An understanding of ACC legislation.
- An understanding of complex rehabilitation.
The appointing salary for this role is $162,707 (full-time equivalent and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution.
